almost funny. I wrote this my sophomore year and it still is one of my favorite pieces of work. It explores loss in the light of denial. I was inspired to write it because my sister, Kelli, said once that when people tell her sad stuff she tends to laugh because she doesn’t know what to do. I got broken up with and it was so sad it was almost funny.

star song. A song about hating the way life is but learning to accept it. Can’t tell if I hate this song or not.

senioritis. I wrote this…my senior year of high school. I was scared to grow up and figure out my career (still am) and it’s just a nice song about wanting to leave but not wanting to go. This is also my first song with finger plucking in it!

let me hate you. Guess what, another breakup song. This one was written this past year. I wanted to hate the guy, but I just didn’t have it in me. I also wanted to heal but didn’t. An ode to wanting to do something but not knowing how.
